Uniflash

Fabric-backed waterproofing membrane

Uniflash is a flexible, self-adhesive, elastomeric membrane. This product is ideally suited for quick and effective waterproofing of concrete and timber decks with good UV protection. This product is locally manufactured to suit our unique climate. Can also be used for the protection of steel against corrosion. The membrane consists of an inert polyester fabric laminated to a pressure sensitive, reinforced, modified bitumen adhesive.

Fields of Application

A general waterproofing membrane for exposed applications
including flashings for parapets. The Uniflash range has been designed and developed for waterproofing in situations such as:

Counter flashing
Ridge capping
Pipe dressings
Gutter sealing
Flat roof repairs

Valley linings
Roof sheet laps
Covering drive screws
Counter flashing for torch applied membranes

Surface Preparation

As with all surface coatings, thorough preparation is of paramount
importance to the success and long-life of the system. Ensure that
the surface to be treated is dry and sound, free of loose, dusting or
flaking particles and free from contaminants such as grease and
fungus.

Application

Uniflash is pressure bonded to prepared surfaces, which have
been pre-primed with Primer D. After the Uniflash waterproofing membrane has been applied a final topcoat application of Geoflex Liquid Plastic is to be applied by brush or roller. Alternatively, acrylic exterior quality paint can be applied in a colour of your choice.
