Fields of Application
Its primary use is for waterproofing in showers to prevent the ingress of water. Being water and vapour resistant it provides many waterproofing applications in the construction industry.
Tiles are applied using a conventional tile adhesive which initially
keys to the glass fibre mesh. As the tile adhesive dries, it forms
a strong permanent bond through the mesh directly onto the
waterproofing layer. The Tilesafe system provides complete protection from water damage to the substrate, as well as preventing leakages through the floors, balconies, etc. This product is a tough, durable, self-adhesive sheet with an overall thickness of 1,6 mm.

Features
- Factory controlled thickness
- Facilitates instant tiling
- Fast & easy application
- No heating or drying
- Self-sealing to minor damage
- High puncture resistance
- High joint resistance to water pressure & water vapour transmission
Application
- All surfaces should be clean, dry and dust free.
- Prepare with Primer D and Double-Sided Tape to all the side
and end butt joints before the application of the membrane.
- Cut and position suitable roll lengths to suit application prior to
removing release paper from underside of the membrane.
- Now remove the underside release paper from the leading edge
of the membrane and position carefully in place over the centre
of the Double-Sided Tape.
- Remove the top plastic release film from the
Double-Sided Tape just before positioning the Tilesafe
membrane.
- Continue to remove the release paper off the membrane,
smoothing down the membrane, taking care not to trap air and
to ensure correct alignment.
- Remove all dust or contaminants from membrane before tiling.
Please note: Only remove upper release film of the Tilesafe membrane when ready to apply the adhesive/tiles.
Note: Silicone should not make contact with Tilesafe and Double-Sided Tape.
Please refer to manufacturers guidelines regarding suitable tile adhesive to be used.
