properties
- It is tough, flexible and non-toxic.
- Does not require special primers.
- Suitable for potable water conditions.
- Modified with synthetic rubber which makes it strong and
flexible.
Surface preparation
Areas to be waterproofed must be free of all laitance, grease, oil,
fungal growth, or loose particles.
Application
First coat
- Apply a thick coat of Roofseal Emulsion approx. 0.75 litre/1sq.
- Meter to the surface and them impregnate the membrate into
the wet coating.
- It is vitally important that the membrane is well saturated.
- There must be no air entrapment or creasing of the membrane.
- On flat surfaces, a suitable tooling may be used to ease the
application of the membrane.
- Membrane overlaps should have a minimum of 75mm on the
end laps and approx. 50mm on side laps.
Second coat
- After the first coat has dried sufficiently, approx 2-3 hours,
apply a second coat to the entire area, making sure that the
membrane is well saturated.
Third coat
- A final coat of Roofseal Emulsion must be given to obtain a
nice smooth finish.
- Allow the sytem to dry or fully cure for approximately 7 days.
- Paint with 1 top coat to prevent attack against ultra violet rays.
Bituminous silver coat aluminium paint may also be used.
Note: For Koi ponds allow 7-10 days for curing, wash pond with
clean water before using.
